Gift for a Friend

I found these scriptures over at Dee's Bugaboo blog.  I love all the projects done with them, so I thought I would try a few for myself.

The first one is made with a $1.00 frame from Michaels.  I painted it black and added some swirls cute from Home Decor Cartridge.  I used ModPodge over the entire frame and added some flowers and bling.
On the second one, I painted a canvas red and matted the verse on black.  The flowers are just a circle cut from Home Decor Cartridge, cut in multiple sizes.  I added a little bling to a couple of the centers.

Just in time for Father's Day

Well I have to admit that I waited until last minute to make Father's day cards for my dad and my father-in-law.  I think they turned out pretty cute though.  I don't have a lot of cartridges for those men in life so I am always looking for something different to do.  I made an origami shirt for both of them.   Mary with Cards TV has an amazing tutorial on how to make these!!

The papers I used were out of my scrap pile (I have a goal this summer to make my scrap pile a lot smaller!!) I did a computer generated "Happy Father's Day".  I hope they enjoy it!

MIA! Gone to Camp!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while.  I have been at church camp all week with our youth.  We took over 250 kids and God worked amazingly the whole time!!  I am so blessed that I got to experience this.

Well now that we are back we are trying to get ready for cheer camp.  My daughter leaves tomorrow for that.  We have been trying to get posters made and camp gifts put together.  I thought I would share with you a magnet board that I made for the girls and a T-shirt I made using iron on vinyl.

This is the magnet board.  I used roof flashing for the back and the paper is from stamping station.  It is made with our school name, in our school colors.  My local scrapbook store sells it!  I used a pirate punch and cut 1" circles to glue over the magnets and used my crop-a-dile to punch the holes for the ribbons.  I am going to take a group picture of the girls before they leave tomorrow and print them to give them the last day to put on the boards.

This is their game day hair bow that I made.  Well I made the bow but did not do the embroidery.  I wish I had a machine to do that!

Lastly here is the shirt that I made to wear to games.  I used iron on vinyl and cut it out with my cricut.  The cartridges that I used were Feeling Groovy, Indie Art, and the font is from the Robotz cartridge.  I think it turned out adorable and was super cheap to make!!

Graduation Cards

As we were laying out at my neighbors pool the other day she mentioned that she had forgotten to get Graduation cards.  I told her that I could make her some.  This statement fascinated her husband!!  It was really funny too!  So I put together a few cards in the school colors of the kids receiveing them.

I used Hello Kitty Cartridge for the diplomas, and Feeling Groovy for the lettering.  I lost the dot for one of the i's and since this card was going to be for a girl I used my I-Rock and added a little bling.  I stickled the middle of the seal to make those sparkle.  The gray paper is from DCWV and the yellow is out of my scrap pile!

Four-Legged Friends

These are a couple of cards that I made for our librarian at school.  She is a huge animal lover!!  She was wanting a card for her vet and a friend of hers that has a little yorkie.  I think they turned out super cute!  The paper was all scraps (I am trying to make a dent in my scrap pile) and I used the Cricut Lite Four-Legged Friends Cartridge.  The cart was a little hard for me to use.  The cuts were simple enough it was just hard to tell what colors I was going to have to use to a couple of the pieces I cut out a few times before I got the perfect combinations!
